PRIVACY POLICY – TRAVIGO GUIDE

TraviGo Guide LLC (“TraviGo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the TraviGo Guide mobile application (the “App”) and related websites/pages we own and operate (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

TraviGo Guide provides travel-related content, recommendations, and external links. We are not an airline, hotel, tour operator, insurer, payment processor, government entity, or an official provider of regulated services. We do not sell insurance or process payments inside the App. When you choose to visit third-party partner sites (including affiliate partners such as EKTA and Trip.com), their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

 

1) INFORMATION WE COLLECT

 

A. Account Information (Free Membership)

You may create a free account to use certain features (e.g., saving favorites, preferences, bookmarks, or personalized content).

When you create or use an account, we may process:

- Email address (or other login identifier you provide)

- Account preferences and settings

- Basic account activity (e.g., saved items)

 

We do not intentionally request or store sensitive personal information such as passport numbers, government IDs, or payment card details.

 

B. Information Collected Automatically (App)

To operate, secure, and improve the App, we may collect:

- Usage Data: app interactions such as screens/pages viewed, taps, session duration, feature usage, and referral clicks (aggregated where possible)

- Diagnostics: crash logs, performance data, error logs

- Device/Technical Data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, network type

 

We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location unless we explicitly introduce a feature that requires it and request your permission.

 

C. Information You Provide When Contacting Us

If you contact us (e.g., by email), we collect the information you provide (such as your email address and message content) to respond and provide support.

 

2) AFFILIATE LINKS & THIRD-PARTY PARTNERS

 

The App and Website may include links to third-party services (“Third-Party Services”), including affiliate partners.

When you tap an affiliate link:

- You will be redirected to a third-party website/app.

- That third party may collect data under its own privacy policy and terms.

- We may receive a commission if you make a purchase through affiliate links, at no additional cost to you.

 

TraviGo does not control third-party tracking technologies (cookies, pixels, SDKs) used on partner websites. If you have concerns about tracking, review the partner’s privacy policy and use your device/browser privacy controls.

 

3) COOKIES, TRACKING, AND APP TRACKING TRANSPARENCY (ATT)

 

A. Tracking in the App (Apple ATT)

TraviGo does not track users across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes, and we do not use the Apple IDFA to track users. Therefore, the App does not request AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) permission.

 

B. Cookies on Web Content We Own

Some parts of the App may display web pages we own (e.g., embedded web content or in-app browser views) or open pages in your device browser.

On Apple devices, our web content is configured to use only essential cookies required for basic functionality and security and not cookies used for cross-site advertising tracking.

 

C. Third-Party Cookies

Third-party websites you choose to visit (including affiliate partners) may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. TraviGo is not responsible for third-party cookie practices.

 

4) HOW WE USE INFORMATION

 

We use information for the following purposes:

- Provide and operate the App and Website

- Create and manage user accounts (free membership)

- Save preferences, favorites, and settings (where applicable)

- Improve performance, content quality, and user experience

- Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and maintain stability

- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

- Measure aggregated performance of content and outbound partner links (non-personal where possible)

- Communicate with you about support requests, updates, or important notices

 

5) LEGAL BASES (WHERE APPLICABLE)

 

Where required by law (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR), we process data based on:

- Contract (to provide requested features such as account functionality)

- Legitimate interests (app security, analytics for improvement, fraud prevention)

- Consent (where required, such as certain optional website features or communications)

- Legal obligations (where applicable)

 

6) SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

 

We do not sell your personal information.

 

We may share limited information in these cases:

A. Service Providers

We may use vendors for:

- App analytics (aggregated usage and performance)

- Crash reporting/diagnostics

These vendors process data on our behalf under contractual obligations and confidentiality requirements.

 

B. Third-Party Services You Choose

If you click a third-party or affiliate link, any data they collect is handled under their policies. We do not share your personal account data with third parties just because you click a link.

We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, our company, or others.

 

7) DATA RETENTION

 

We retain information only as long as necessary:

- Account information: while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping and security

- Diagnostics/crash logs: limited period for troubleshooting and stability improvements

- Aggregated analytics: may be retained longer in non-identifying form

- Support communications: as needed to respond and maintain reasonable records

 

8) SECURITY

 

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we minimize collection and restrict access.

 

9) YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

 

A. Account and deletion

You may request account deletion and/or deletion of associated data by contacting us. We may require verification to protect your account.

 

B. Privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of certain information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

 

C. Device and browser controls

You can manage privacy through your device and browser settings (e.g., blocking cookies on third-party sites, limiting ad personalization, or using private browsing).

 

10) CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

 

The App and Website are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

 

11) INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

 

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
